Holistic Skin Care Tips
Since we here at Svanah Beauty are releasing some skin care products, we thought it would be a good idea to give you guys some skin care routine tips and tricks to try out. Skin is tricky and you want it to be healthy. After all, the healthy of your skin reflects your internal health. So, let’s talk about holistic skin care routines.
Tips to Try Out
Use Dilo Oil
This extract is a rich soothing oil chalk full of antioxidants that comes from the Fiji Islands. It’s a dry oil that doesn’t leave the skin greasy. It has a great effect on repairing and minimizing acne scars.
Mist Moisturizing Water
This is something I use daily. But don’t just use water since it evaporates on the skin. I recommend making your own hydrating formula. Personally, I use a rose and green tea for hydration. It’ll give you a little hydration boost while calming the skin.
Use Less for More
When caring for your face, using less ingredients allows those ingredients to do more. Get products with similar ingredients and not many. This also very important when it comes to sensitive skin too.

Decrease Alcohol
Drinking alcohol regularly can cause more oil production in the skin. It can also cause bigger pores. Rubbing alcohol also dries out skin so use that VERY carefully too.
Skip the Heat
I’ve expressed this many many times, do not take seething hot showers and baths regularly. I understand needing an intensely hot shower every once in a while. But, making them a habit is bad for your skin. It’ll cause redness, dryness, and acne.
Layer Your Products the Right Way
Not many know this but you should be layering your facial products from the lightest to the heaviest. So start with your serum first after cleansing your face, then a moisturizer, and finally top it off with a sunscreen.
Use a Humidifier
This is especially helpful for those with dry skin. Using a humidifier is perfect for accomplishing a moisturized, dewy hydrated skin. Another upside to using a humidifier is the fact that you can add scents and essential oils for other things.

Toner Instead of Makeup Wipes
This is so incredibly helpful if you have no time for a shower. Toner will keep your face hydrated while makeup wipes will dry It out.
A Dose of Chill
Stress can make your skin icky with acne. So give yourself time to chill out and reach a zen state. Basically, take a chill pill. Take a walk, take a bath, drink some tea. Just wind down and relax regularly.
Boost Your Bedtime Routine
Create a little self care basket on your nightstand filled with lip balm, cuticle oils, cream for hands and feet, and maybe even a heated blanket. What’s better than doing that before getting into a nice warm comfy bed for sleep?
Eat Some Good Stuff
This might be self explanatory however, I’m going to break it down for you guys anyways. Eat fruits and veggies rather than greasy disgusting foods. The food you eat effects your skin since it reflects your internal health. So take care of yourself.

You and your skin deserve to be taken care of. I don’t care what anyone says, you are worth at least that much. Doing these small things will start you on your journey of achieving a healthier life. Be sure to check out our new skin care products as well.
